A Nova Scotia man has been charged with aggravated assault after an injured four-month-old baby was taken to hospital.
Cumberland County RCMP said today they were contacted by child and family services in Amherst on Nov. 23.
They were told an infant was in hospital with life-threatening injuries deemed to be suspicious in nature.
Thomas Hunter, 20, of Cumberland County was arrested last night and is to appear in Amherst provincial court.
The baby continues to be treated at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax and is reportedly in stable condition.
