VANCOUVER - Some may complain about nosy neighbours, but a bride and
groom in Vancouver are likely very pleased about the scrutiny on their
block.

Neighbours are credited with helping police collar a
burglar who targeted the young couple's empty home just one week after
their backyard wedding.

Vancouver Police Const. Lindsey Houghton
says a woman living next door to the couple spotted a man walking
through their yard on Monday evening and suspected a break-in.

She
and her two roommates called police and kept an eye on the empty house,
confronting the man as he walked out carrying two full bags of loot.

The watchful trio then held the suspect until officers arrived.

Police say 42-year-old Patrick Gaston Groleau has an extensive criminal history and now faces a single count of break and enter.
