Folk-rock legend Neil Young is playing three shows in Canada this summer as part of his current tour and one of his stops will be Edmonton.

The Winnipeg native was in Edmonton last year with a full band and played Rexall Place. This time he’s on his own and will play the intimate Jubilee Auditorium.

The solo-show — featuring guitar, piano and keyboards — is on Friday, July 23. The only other Canadian stops will be in Calgary and Winnipeg.

Folk singer Bert Jansch will open for Young. The 66-year-old was a member of the folk-rock band Pentangle and released a number of solo albums.

Tickets are $75, $145 and $255 plus service charges at Ticketmaster and go on sale Saturday.
