A building contractor with no police record has been charged with murdering a maid who lived in a Mississauga mansion where he had recently been working.

"He had a considerable amount of knowledge about that house," Peel Regional Police Const. Wayne Patterson said yesterday after the arrest of Fabian Loayza-Penaloza, 35, on first-degree murder charges for the slaying of Jocelyn Dulnuan, 27.

Fabian Loayza-Penaloza’s arrest on Tuesday afternoon came a day after his friend, Cristian Figueroa, 35, was charged with first-degree murder for Dulnuan’s death.

Her body was found on Oct. 21 in a cream-coloured mansion on Doulton Place in Mississauga, where she worked and lived.

"We do not expect any further arrests," Patterson said yesterday.

Loayza-Penaloza and Figueroa were friends, and socialized off the job, Patterson said.

Both men were employed in the residential construction trades.
