CAP PELE, N.B. – Police have released the name of a young man killed in a single-vehicle crash in northern New Brunswick.
RCMP say 26-year-old Benoit Leger died early Sunday when the car he was driving left the road and hit two trees on Acadie Street in Cap-Pele (peh-LAY).
A preliminary investigation suggests alcohol and speed were contributing factors.
As well, Leger was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle.
The Cape-Pele native was alone in the car at the time of the crash.
