Glenbow Museum has a new boss. And he says the change will bring a whole new look to the museum itself.
New president and CEO of the Glenbow Jeffrey Spalding has a bright vision and plan for the future of the museum and it’s only his fourth day on the job.
“The Glenbow has always been glorious and a pride of the nation in so many ways but it’s going to be revitalized. We want people to come here and be amazed and we are a world class city and should amaze and inspire the visitors,” he said.
Spalding has extensive curator experience and brings with him a wealth of art collectors wishing to donate their art to the Glenbow — already $1 million worth.
“The process is simply starting, but we have a vision. A museum of our size and scale has so much potential to wow people and we will. We will bring intriguing and amazing pieces of art and culture from across the world to our city.”
The process has just begun for Spalding, and he said people can expect to see new and different things coming to the museum very soon.
