NARS's ode to Andy Warhol
Francois Nars, ever the Warhol fan, didn't simply name a few shades in his new limited-edition holiday collection after the pop art icon -- he worked with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts to capture and celebrate the artist's spirit and work. The bold colors in the line are based on the ones Warhol favored for his creations, and eyeshadow palettes feature imprints of the artist's famous paintings: Self Portrait (1967) and Flowers (19650. His muses, including Edie Sedgwick, Candy Darling and Debby Harry, even have gift sets based on them. Paint on this makeup and go find your 15 minutes of fame.
The Nars Andy Warhol collection is divided into two lines: one based on bright Pop Art, which is sold exclusively at Sephora, and another, more moody collection based on the Silver Factory and sold at department and specialty stores.
