Justice Minister Ross Landry will make an announcement concerning changes to courthouse security at Dartmouth Provincial Court today.

Department officials are being tight-lipped on the nature of the changes, as well as whether they will apply specifically to the Dartmouth court or the entire province. In March, the Dartmouth courthouse was put on lockdown after a brawl broke out. Two months ago, two men were charged with carrying concealed weapons into the court.

Dartmouth has no weapon scanners or metal detectors.
