The Atlantic Film Festival released the full lineup for its 30th anniversary yesterday.

A full 85 feature-length films, 96 short movies, and two retrospectives will be screened at this year’s festival.

The retrospectives, new to this year’s festival, will highlight favourites from festivals past.
Also new to this year’s festival is the location of the opening gala.

For the first time in festival history, the gala will be held “at the top of the city” — in Halifax’s historic Citadel Hill.

The party starts after the Atlantic Premier of Score: A Hockey Musical at the Park Lane and Oxford theatres on Sept. 16.

The Atlantic Film Festival runs through to Sept. 25.

A full list of films in this year’s festival, including the online festival guide, available at as of noon today.
