Ottawa residents and visitors will get a glimpse of these stories and more as the National Film Board celebrates its 70th anniversary this year, with a new exhibit at the Plaza Bridge in Confederation Square this summer.
In collaboration with the National Capital Commission, 24 of the NFB’s best images — which were chosen to represent the organization’s past, present and future — are currently on display.
“The Plaza Bridge is a spectacular place in the National Capital Region,” NCC CEO Marie Lemay said yesterday. “Throughout the summer, in this important capital space, residents and visitors to Canada’s capital region will discover a little bit more about our culture and these acclaimed Canadian artists.”
The bridge, which links areas of downtown, including the ByWard Market and the Rideau Canal, sees thousands of pedestrians everyday, said Lemay.
Most of the films celebrated in this exhibition can be seen free of charge in the National Film Board’s online screening room.
