Fashion designer Christian Audigier has reportedly added to his Los Angeles property empire by snapping up Nicolas Cage’s famous Bel Air property, according to reports.
Cage’s mansion has been on the market since 2007. The actor slashed the asking price by half earlier this summer in a bid to off-load the property.
It is not known what Audigier — who also co-owns the Holmby Hills mansion Michael Jackson called home during his last months — paid for the pad, but www.radaronline.com reports Cage was selling at a drastically reduced $17.5 million US.
Cage has also slashed the price of his 12-bedroom estate in Rhode Island, which was listed last year for $16 million. According to www.realestalker.com, it’s now at $12 million.
The movie star is also reportedly selling a condo in New York, two homes in New Orleans, Louisiana and a house in Las Vegas.
Reports suggest he recently sold property in Malibu, California and a castle in Germany. He still owns an English estate, a second home in Malibu and a Bahamas spread.
