Metro Transit is denying reports it is behind schedule on a proposed airport bus route.
According to Metro Transit spokeswoman Tiffany Chase, the proposed route was always scheduled for late 2011 — despite a November 2009 staff report referencing December 2010.
“(The staff report) did say quote ‘the earliest possible date was December 2010,’” said Chase. “But (it) said more likely (it) would be the spring of 2011.”
Chase said changes in bus requirements and designs have pushed that timeframe back, but denied that that constitutes a delay.
