No injuries as bullets miss mark

Stray bullets from a targeted shooting that missed the mark sprayed a home in the 8000 block of Fraser Street.

Stray bullets from a targeted shooting that missed the mark sprayed a home in the 8000 block of Fraser Street.
Const. Tim Fanning said yesterday that officers received a report of shots fired and, upon arrival at the scene, a 29-year-old man known to police was found to be the intended target.
No one was injured in Thursday’s incident and Fanning said there was no relation between the residents of the house struck by the bullets and the target.
According to police, the city has seen a marked downturn in shootings of late.
Fanning said gang members suspected in connection with previous shootings are getting harder to find because they had stopped frequenting clubs known to police and gone further underground.
