No one is untouchable, not even me: Eskimos president

Rick LeLacheur sent a message to Eskimos fans yesterday: The buck stops here.

LeLacheur said the CFL team’s 0-4 start, its worst in 45 years, is completely unacceptable.

The team president even suggested his own job isn’t safe if the unthinkable were to happen and the Esks fall to 0-5 on Friday.

“There’s nobody in this organization that’s untouchable. What we’re here to do is win and that was such an embarrassment on Saturday,” he said.

“I questioned football operations and the coaches if we were mentally or physically tough enough. I don’t think we are.”

LeLacheur said he expects to see some changes in the starting lineup for Friday’s game against B.C. — but so far, nobody has lost their job.

“It starts with me, it starts at the top,” he said. “I’m the president and CEO, the buck stops here. I’m accountable just like everyone else is.”
