A fifth and final season with the Saint Mary’s Huskies isn’t a possibility for punter Justin Palardy after being cut late last week by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
The current Atlantic University Sport record holder for career points (320), field goals (116) and converts (65) played in five games for the Tiger-Cats before getting cut last Thursday.
Huskies head coach Steve Sumarah said playing professionally means a CIS player loses a year of eligibility, meaning Palardy isn’t eligible to return.
Palardy had three punts blocked in his first five games with Hamilton and also fumbled a snap.
