Q: What is your fondest memory from your family kitchen?
A: We had this old round kitchen table, with those collapsible drop leaf sides, and every single meal one of those leaves would fall and a meal would land in someone’s lap. For some reason, we never got rid of the table.
Q: What kitchen aromas bring back fond memories?
A: Muffins are very nostalgic. My mom is the muffin maker.
Q: How did the first meal you prepared turn out?
A: I once made lasagna for a boyfriend’s family and that night everyone was violently ill. Oddly, I was the only one unaffected …
Q: Do you use cookbooks?
A: If I’m going to attempt cooking, I must! I enjoy following rules.
Q: What is your favourite food to cook?
A: I would say it’s definitely cereal.
Q: What kitchen gadget can you not live without?
A: My coffee maker! It’s like a family member. I love you coffee maker.
Q: Is there a cultural dish that you have at gatherings that ties into a holiday?
A: Gnocchi. My dad makes it every year for Christmas Eve and it represents the holidays.
