Re: April Lindgren’s column: Wind farm would be another ugly mistake (Jan. 30).
Since when is creating green energy ugly? I personally think the sight of our government trying to find an alternative energy source that is clean and stable and utilizes a renewable and free source — wind — to be quite beautiful.
I love passing the wind farm in Southern California where hundreds are lined up making nary a sound.
Whenever we pass the giant turbine in the CNE grounds, my two-year-old son points and shouts “WENMALL, WENMALL!!!”
Why doesn’t April Lindgren suggest another alternative to location before she bashes the whole idea to bits? I think the sight of a line of distant windmills is far more beautiful than a giant concrete nuclear reactor any day.
