Nova Scotia Power is in the early stages of planning a potential $200-million energy deal with New Brunswick.
NSP spokeswoman Patty Faith said the project is still in its very early planning stages. The issue came out of a capital expenditures filing with the Utility and Review Board, which included a request to lay the groundwork for a possible intertie deal with NB Power.
“In order to do something like (the intertie), you have to start laying the groundwork pretty early,” she said. “There are no commitments at this stage, its still just in the discussion phase.”
