NYFW review: Karen Walker spring 2015

Designer: Karen Walker

The Look: Grandma goes to Woodstock

The Runway: Everything was coming up flowers for Kiwi designer Karen Walker this season, with a collection inspired by mid-century British botanical culture. That meant bold floral prints, ’60s suede jumpers and flares, and denim gardening smocks — topped off with tall straw hats and elegant scarves wrapped over the models’ heads and shoulders.

Insta-worthy: A multi-colored suede coat worn with psychedelic palazzo pants. Groovy!

The Takeaway: Time to watch “Grey Gardens” again for some fashion tips.
