This exercise opens the chest as it strengthens the lungs. It tones the arms and chest and releases tension from the neck and shoulders.
Step 1: Stand straight with your feet hip width apart, your hips slightly tilted forward, chest open.
Step 2: Inhale and slowly bring your hands behind you and press your shoulder blades together.
Step 3: Hold the breath as you turn your head slowly to the left and then to the right as you look over your shoulder.
Step 4: Bring your head back to centre and exhale. Lower your arms back to your side. Repeat two or three times.
