An off-duty RCMP officer was arrested for the second time for impaired driving after Vancouver police watched a man urinate in a parking lot at Spanish Banks and attempt to drive away.

Vancouver Const. Lindsey Houghton said in a release that the off-duty officer failed a roadside-screening device with a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit of 0.08.

The 55-year-old officer, who is attached to the RCMP’s E-Division provincial headquarters, was previously arrested on Oct. 3 after an accident on the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge, according to CBC News Online.

He has been on medical leave since that incident and is facing charges of driving while prohibited, impaired driving and driving with a blood-alcohol above 0.08.
