Two Halifax Regional Police officers were injured after an altercation in Dartmouth Wednesday night.

Two Halifax Regional Police officers were injured after an altercation in Dartmouth Wednesday night.

Police responded to a disturbance call on Dundas Street, which resulted in a lengthy struggle with an irate male who refused to comply.

A male and female officer both suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The female officer was treated in hospital and released.

Mark Steven MacDonald, 31, was scheduled to appear in court Thursday facing charges that included resisting arrest and two counts of assaulting an officer.
