Canada’s Olympic Pavilion is on schedule and on budget, Conservative MP James Moore said yesterday during a sneak peek at the $10-million structure.

A planned media tour of the pavilion was scrapped yesterday, but reporters were invited to photograph and film the tent’s exterior from across a parking lot.

The two-storey white tent, marked with a Canadian flag and Canada’s brand, will be one of the attractions at Vancouver’s Georgia Street LiveCity site.

Moore said the pavilion will provide entertainment and interactive activities for visitors of all ages. Displays will highlight Canada’s sport history and a touchscreen avatar will take people through a downhill event.
