A trip to her father’s law firm in the Take Your Kids To Work program convinced Jo Levitan that becoming a lawyer was not in her cards. Instead she wants to be a journalist. Levitan is in her second year at Ryerson University’s Journalism Degree program. Her career plan is to put her writing skills — which she has worked on since high school — into various writing genres. When the books are closed, Levitan likes dishing up her trademark guacamole for family and friends and canvas painting.
