One person is dead and two others injured following a head-on collision in a small Inverness County community Thursday morning.
The accident occurred around 7:20 a.m. on Marble Mountain Road in Marble Mountain, which overlooks the Bras d’Or Lake.
A female passenger in one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the same vehicle was transported by air ambulance from the accident to the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax with serious injuries. The lone occupant of the other vehicle was transported by ambulance to the Strait Richmond Hospital with undetermined injuries.
