One victim dies in basement fire

One of the victims of a fire that tore through a northwest basement suite Monday has died.

Friends of Jonathan St. Pierre, 19, said he died at the Foothills Hospital last night after suffering severe smoke inhalation.

Four unconscious victims, including St. Pierre’s girlfriend Tiffany Cox, were pulled from the suite in the 500 block of 33rd Street NW.
