Ontario corporations will soon benefit from one tax form, one set of rules, one audit, one appeals process, and one point of contact. Ontario has joined seven other provinces and all three territories in agreeing to have the Canada Revenue Agency administer its corporate income taxes. Under the agreement between the federal and provincial governments, Ontario businesses will make combined federal and provincial instalment payments in 2008 for the 2009 tax year and file a single harmonized tax return in 2009.
