Opera Lyra Ottawa is holding its annual fundraising live and silent auctions Friday to help raise funds to support its educational programs and assist in creating and developing the audiences of tomorrow.
This year’s auction items include a weekend in New York and tickets to the famed Metropolitan Opera, a seven-day classical music cruise along the Danube River, a private dinner with superstar tenor Michael Schade or former broadcaster Pamela Wallin, a long weekend on a Niaagra wine-estate, and a dinner with Michael Ignatieff and his wife.
Ottawa-West Nepean MPP Jim Watson and Stuntman‚ Stu Schwartz host the evening at the Museum of Civilization. Tickets are $150.
