The Magazine Hill will be closed to traffic for about an hour today for what is described as a scheduled ordnance detonation.
A release from Maritime Forces Atlantic says that Explosive Ordnance Disposal personnel at the Canadian Forces Ammunition Depot in Bedford will detonate several shells.

The RCMP, Halifax Regional Police and Military Police are closing the busy stretch of road as a precaution for about 60 minutes during the detonation.
The highway will be closed in both directions from the intersection of Akerley Boulevard and Windmill Road west to where Dartmouth Road and the Bedford Bypass meet the Magazine Hill Road section of the highway.
