Ottawa cop dismissed

An Ottawa police constable was dismissed Thursday morning after Supt. Robert Fitches rendered a decision for incidents that took place in 2006 and 2007.

In June, Const. William Barlow was found guilty of numerous charges including neglect of duty, insubordination, and discreditable conduct.

Barlow, who has been on suspension with pay since February 2008, has 30 days to appeal the
decision to the Ontario civilian police commission.
