Ottawa east-end fire causes $200,000 of damage

An early-morning fire at an east-end box company caused around $200,000 of damage Thursday.

An early-morning fire at an east-end box company caused around $200,000 of damage Thursday.

Firefighters were called to the offices of Capital Box at 1475 Startop Rd., near Cyrville Road, at 2:42 a.m.

It took around 36 firefighters in seven vehicles nearly an hour to put the fire out.

The fire was contained to the front office area and did not spread to the warehouse section.

Investigators are still attempting to determine the cause of the fire.
