The federal government is investing up to $4 million for the development of clean and renewable energy resources in Atlantic Canada.
The Atlantic Energy Gateway Initiative was announced yesterday by Atlantic Gateway Minister Peter MacKay and Natural Resources Minister Lisa Raitt.
The idea is to raise awareness of Atlantic Canada being a critical supplier of energy while promoting its capability of becoming a leader in clean and renewable energy around North America.
The four Atlantic provinces are being invited to be part of an Atlantic Energy Gateway Committee that’s purpose is to advance the growth of the region’s renewable energy sector.
