With this Wednesday marking the 100-day countdown for the Vancouver Olympics, Ottawa residents were eager to send their best wishes to Canadian athletes over the weekend.
Hundreds of people came out to the Carlingwood Mall yesterday to show their support by signing Ottawa West Nepean MPP Jim Watson’s Olympic flag.
The flag, which will be brought to several malls and elementary schools to collect signatures, will be displayed in the Athletes’ Village during the games.
