The Palm Pre, a touch-screen smartphone that will compete with Apple’s iPhone and Research In Motion’s BlackBerry, will be launched in Canada later this year.
The phone made headlines when it was introduced in January at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and has created some buzz as a new smartphone.
The Palm Pre will run in Canada on Bell Mobility’s existing network and will be launched in the U.S. on the Sprint network before the end of June. Palm’s Brodie Keast says the smartphone automatically brings information from different places such as on the web or at work to one place.
