A couple is facing child neglect charges after they allegedly left their toddler at home to chase vehicles in clown masks.

Menasha Police in Wisconsin received a report just before 4 a.m. Friday about people wearing clown masks and chasing after cars, according to local media.

A 20- and a 29-year-old man were allegedly caught dressed as clowns and a 26-year-old woman was the one driving them around.

Police learned that the 29-year-old man and 26-year-old woman had left their “4-year-old girl home alone while they decided to go out and do their clowning activities,” Police Chief Tim Styka told WBAY.com.

The child had reportedly been left alone for at least a few hours and has been placed out outside of the home by the Department of Human Services.

The parents were arrested and could be charged with child neglect. Police have not charged the 20-year-old man.
