Parksale gives artists a chance to test wares

As an independent photographer and archaeologist, Jillan Logee, 25, understands how difficult it can be starting out and having to dish out vendor fees for events without knowing if you will see a return.

However, Parksale, happening June 28, allows independent artists to set up booths without having to pay any kind of vendor fee.

“I think it’s really good because it gives people a chance to see what their work is really worth,” said Logee. The non-profit event is put on from students from the University of Calgary and Alberta College of Art and Design.

Parksale will be held at the University of Calgary June 28 in the field between Engineering and ICT from noon until 6 p.m.
