Florida Pastor CarlGallups believes Donald Trump is the opposite of President Obama and has endorsed the GOP front-runner. He also believes the Sandy Hook massacre was staged.

According to the New York Daily News,Gallupscalled out one of the victims’ parents on his radio show earlier this year. He said David and Francine Wheeler, who lost their 6-year-old son Ben in theshooting, were Hollywood actors that were hired by gun control advocates.

“Yeah, he was dragged before the nation by Obama after the Newtown school shooting, supposedly,” Gallups said on his radio show in January, “andplayed the part of a grieving father with a woman standing beside him crying. Of course, right before he went to the podium, he was laughing and carrying on.”

The Daily News reported that after his guest on the show corrected him, Gallupsstill believed his claim and continued,“This guy, he and his so-called wife, are standing up there and they’re grieving, and ‘My child, my child, this and that, we gotta get take the guns.’ … This dude is a Hollywood actor, his so-called wife is a Hollywood actor.”

Despite this, Trump announced his endorsements from several Florida community leaders, including Gallups,on his websiteearlier this year, and called it a “great honor” to receive them. The Trump campaign is no stranger to this kind of controversy, with people calling him the next Adolf Hitler and former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke speaking highlyof Trump, the Daily News reported.

“We’re not electing a priest, a pope or a pastor. We’re electing a president, a CEO, a commander in chief. I’m not perfectly happy with Donald Trump either, but I’m a realist,” Gallups said to the Associated Press.

The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to the Daily News.
