A 41-year-old male pedestrian suffered serious head injuries, a collapsed lung, fractured collarbone and ribs and facial injuries after being struck by a vehicle in New Edinburgh yesterday morning.
Paramedics were called to Beechwood Avenue near Springfield Road just before 6:30 a.m., where they found an unconscious man.
He regained consciousness and was taken to hospital, where he is in serious condition.
Police are investigating.
