Peeping tom could be linked to assault: Cops

Calgary police believe a peeping tom in the city’s northwest may be responsible for three separate incidents.

Police spokesperson Kevin Brookwell said two window peeping incidents may be linked to a sexual assault on Tuesday at 2 a.m. when a man unlocked a bedroom window in the 4100 block of 41 Street NW and fondled a sleeping woman’s breasts.

“Based on proximity, we now believe these here are related and what we’re concerned about is escalating behaviour from peeping to sexually assaulting a woman while she sleeps,” Brookwell said.

Another window-peeping incident occurred at the same home on Hendon Drive NW on April 21, and another incident at a different home on Hendon Drive NW the same night.

Police questioned a person of interest but have not laid any charges.
