Guns Two weeks ago, the top officers at 23 Division released a community bulletin, warning residents about the rise of gun violence in the city’s northwest end.

“These involve cases of reported incidents of shots being fired and thankfully no injuries,” the Toronto police message said.

Since then, the division has had two fatal shootings.

The most recent incident occurred Sunday, when 34-year-old Bishen Golaub was gunned down after leaving a friend’s townhouse on Mt. Olive Drive, near Kipling and Finch avenues.

“It’s bad here. People are living in fear,” said neighbour Sachana Tracey.

Two Toronto men have been charged with first-degree murder.
