‘People aren’t forgetting Terry’

Not even pouring rain could stop the thousands who came out on foot, on bikes, in wagons, and even on four paws to support the 30th Annual Terry Fox Run in Port Coquitlam.

Mary Ness, volunteer co-ordinator, has been participating for 24 years.

“I got an email this year from a mom who was typing for her four-year-old son who wanted (to volunteer). I just think that’s so amazing,” Ness said. “People aren’t forgetting Terry.”

To further support the cause, Ness also shaved her head, which helped her raise $2,500.

Vancouver’s Terry Fox Run also attracted hundreds.
