Russell Peters and Howie Mandel have seemingly been able to laugh off the global economic downturn.
The Canadian comics were among the Top 10 highest-earning comedians over the last year, according to Forbes magazine.
Mandel, who did double-duty as the host of Deal or No Deal and his own prank show, Howie Do It, pulled in $15 million US to sit sixth on the list. Peters, a Brampton native, made $10 million US in a year that saw him tour and release a second CD/DVD, Red, White and Brown.
Jerry Seinfeld topped the list after earning $85 million US in the past year — mostly from syndication deals for Seinfeld.
