Like most people, Kathy and Allen Neurauter spend little time wondering where they might find the most hygienic head in Alberta.
That is until they received a phone call saying they had won an award for having the cleanest bathroom in the province.

The pair own and manage the Aldersyde Petro-Canada gas station, located on Highway 547 near Highway 2 just 20 minutes south of Calgary.
“We’ve always run our business like that. It’s attention to detail,” Allan said.
The couple found out last week that powderroom.ca had selected them, based on online public votes, for the first award since mystery shoppers had been making their rounds beginning in March.
The site is owned by Astellas Pharma Canada Inc. to raise awareness about overactive bladders.
The Neurauters will be receiving a certificate and a plaque commending them on their accomplishment, which they say takes “no special formula,” but simply includes cleaning the 24-7 restroom twice per shift.
