Just when we thought us city-folk were safe from the dangers of wildlife, an attack in India has us paranoid and fearful of one more thing: big, scary felines.

One person was killed and several others injured when a leopard let loose in the city of Guwahati.

According to BBC, the leopard was first seen on Saturday near a crematorium as the funeral of a Congress Party leader’s son was taking place. Among the attendees were ministers and dignitaries.

After the leopard was spotted, the police sent the VIPs to a safer place and chased the leopard.

Before it was caught, and released into the Manas Wildfire Sanctuary, it attacked several people.

According to Manas Paran, a photojournalist for the Sunday Indian magazine who witnessed the event, the leopard “jumped across several multi-story buildings, including a bank, then jumped on to the ground.”

Now, we’ve never been to Guwahati, but the image of a leopard jumping from building to building like some kind of superhero in an action film, scares the living daylight out of us. These photos don’t help either.
