Photos of robbery suspects released in public appeal

Ottawa police have released photos of two men in hopes the public will be able to help identify suspects in a recent bank robbery in the east end.

At 3:55 p.m. on April 8, two suspects entered the Scotiabank at the Beacon Hill Mall on Ogilvie Road. The men passed a note demanding cash.

The suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no injuries.

Police are seeking two suspects, both black males around 20 years old. The first suspect is 5-6, 160 pounds with dark eyes. He was wearing a chunky gold ring on the middle finger of his right hand.

The second suspect is 5-8, 170 pounds with short hair.

Police believe that earlier that afternoon, the suspects were seen at a south-end branch of a TD Canada Trust. They left the location without incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 613-236-1222 ext. 5116, or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS).
