When a delivery person was about to be robbed early this morning by two men he used whatever was at hand to fend them off.

That just happened to be a pizza.

Halifax police say a man was delivering a pizza on Duffus Street at about 1:30 a.m. when two men came out of the shadows.

They demanded what he had in his pockets. That's when the delivery man threw the pizza at the suspects and ran to his car where he began to blow the horn.

The two would-be robbers fled north on Lynch Street.

They are described as two black males, aged 16 to 18 years. Both were wearing dark hoodies and baggy pants, one with a red bandana over his face and the other with a black one.
