The wrath of pro-choice activists is literally piling up on Vice President-elect Mike Pence’s doorstep.
In the days following the presidential upset by Pence and running mate Donald Trump, Planned Parenthood has been “blown away” by the number of donations it is receiving in Pence’s name.
The Indiana governor is a staunch opponent of Planned Parenthood and has worked to undermine abortion law throughout his political career. Pro-choice activists realizedby filling out Pence’s name when making a donation, it ensures a certificate is sent to Pence’s state house office after each check, BBC reported. Planned Parenthood hasn’t commented on exactly how much has been raised in Pence’s name, but the organization took to social media to share its thanks.
“Thank you so much! We’ve been blown away by the support we’ve received. Many people are donating in Clinton or Pence’s name,” it wrote.

Pence has been a longtime anti-abortion advocate.
As a congressman Pence introduced several laws designed to restrict or limit abortion.
This isn’t the first time Pence has dealt with people angry over his abortion views. When he penned the nation’s most restrictive abortion law earlier this year to ban the practice on the basis of race, gender, disability or after eight weeks, women created the hasthag # PeriodsforPence, where they would tweet or phone in details about their menstrual cycles. This weekend people took to social media to encourage the new trend.
