Pushing a century, the annual Fair at the PNE promises to be bigger, louder and more exciting than ever when it opens Saturday.
The 99th edition features $6-million in entertainment, the most ever, said Laura Ballance, spokeswoman for the annual summer fair.
“This year is really about kickstarting our centenary celebration in 2010,” Ballance said. “And as such, we’ve started developing the entertainment program and building on the excitement.”
There will be more than 700 shows that are all free with admission.
