Police advise drivers to steer clear of downtown Tuesday

The Ottawa Police Service and the RCMP are advising Ottawa residents to steer clear of driving downtown.

The Ottawa Police Service and the RCMP are advising Ottawa residents to steer clear of driving downtown Tuesday due to the pro-Tamil demonstration.

While there are no planned road closures at this time, there will be parking restrictions in effect starting overnight, to maintain emergency vehicle access in the vicinity of Parliament Hill.

Restrictions include both sides of Kent Street from Laurier Street to Wellington Street; both sides of Bank Street from Laurier Street to

Wellington Street and Metcalfe Street between Queen Street and Wellington Street.
