Police at a loss for suspects in shooting

Police in West Vancouver say they still have no suspects in connection to a shooting that sent two men to hospital in grave condition.

Cpl. Fred Harding said yesterday the men are expected to recover and police are “actively investigating” the shooting.

“The West Vancouver police are confident that the shooting was not in any way random,” Harding said.

Police were called to Keith Road near 3rd Street around 4:40 Tuesday afternoon, where they found two men shot on the road.

The victims, a 27-year-old man and an 18-year-old man, have not been identified.

“The RCMP provided valuable resources to assist in the search for suspects,” Harding said.

“A helicopter conducted a grid search, dogs were used to track through dense terrain, officers searched on foot and held containment.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police.

“While witnesses have come forward, every detail is vital.”
